The Artificial Intelligence COMPASS is an innovative course designed to empower educators with practical knowledge and skills necessary to effectively integrate artificial intelligence into their classroom.

METODOLOGY
This course programme is structured to be highly engaging and interactive, incorporating discussions and collaborative teamwork. The course adopts a dynamic and participatory methodology. It emphasises a “learning by doing” approach so that participants are encouraged to actively engage with AI tools through hands-on activitiesin which they will be provided with the opportunity to design new teaching materials in a co-creation process.
CONTENT
AI for Content Creation
Participants will:
- Understand the fundamentals of AI and ethics of AI.
- Discover and experiment with various AI tools that can be applied to different stages of the teaching and learning process and tools that enhance teacher productivity.
- Gain practical skills in integrating AI tools to enhance lesson planning, delivery, and active student engagement.
- Learn to effectively implement AI-driven strategies for assessment and feedback to improve student learning outcomes.

- AI explainED: from concept to implementation: Understanding AI fundamentals and AI ethics. Exploring tools for teacher productivity.
- Content Creation Skills for Students: Moving beyond automated content creation to foster critical thinking and creativity in the era of AI.
- Personalised Approach to Instruction: Applying AI tools to deliver personalised content and to adapt teaching strategies in real-time. Using AI for interactive teaching.
- Inclusion and Accessibility: Exploring AI tools that cater to students with diverse needs, including linguistic and cultural diversity, learning styles, special needs students and gifted students.
- AI for nature-based experiences: Using interactive tools for real-time insights and immersive experiences to deepen understanding.
- Gamifying learning experiences: Integrating AI-enhanced game-like elements into outdoor education, challenge-based learning and interactive storytelling.
- Activating Prior Knowledge: Using AI to assess initial student understanding and tailor activities to individual learning levels.
- Formative and Summative Assessment: Implementing AI-driven formative and summative assessments to gauge student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
