The leader inside each teacher: developing leadership skills
The course aims to enhance the idea that a coordinator’s impact in a school extends far beyond administrative duties, shaping a positive and dynamic learning environment where everyone can achieve their full potential. The benefits of being a leader include inspiring motivation, fostering strong relationships, and promoting professional development. These elements are intrinsically linked to the wellbeing of the school community, enhancing emotional safety, mental and physical health, and overall academic and personal growth.By practical activities, the training will equip the participants with the tools and insights needed to lead effectively, handle challenges confidently, and drive positive change in the school. The exercises are designed to be practical, engaging, and directly applicable to the participants’ roles as head teachers. They will help develop essential leadership skills, foster a collaborative learning environment, and enhance overall effectiveness in school leadership.

METODOLOGY
The course is designed to provide a comprehensive, interactive learning experience that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. There will be an alternance of teamwork, individual approaches and group interventions. Small group discussions will allow participants to share experiences, exchange ideas, and deepen their understanding of leadership concepts. Activities will also include role-playing scenarios, problem-solving tasks, and goal-setting exercises that allow participants to apply leadership principles in simulated environments. There will be non-formal approaches to practice handling conflicts, cooperation, making strategic decisions, and leading teams. At the end, participants will create personalized action plans outlining steps to apply leadership skills and strategies in their professional roles, receiving feedback on their performance from the trainers.

- Discover the fundaments of Educational Leadership
- Understand the difference between a boss, a leader and a follower
- Know the different types of leaders and their characteristics
- Develop core leadership traits
- Practical Strategies that create a positive school culture and develop wellbeing in school: assertively, empathetic communication, decision making, problem solving, interpersonal skills
- Establish a strategy for the school, in order to develop the sense of well being in teachers, pupils and parents

- Fundaments of Educational Leadership (Leadership style, types of leaders, leader vs boss, Ethics and Values)
- Assertive and Empathetic Communication (Team building Strategies, Motivation and recognition)
- Decision making and problem solving (decision making based on data, complex problem solving)
- Development of Interpersonal Skills (Emotional Intelligence, Coaching, Negotiation and Conflict management)
- Practical leadership strategies
